We are based in Fullerton, on East Orangethorpe Avenue. It is not a market we expanded into — it is where our shop is, and where we have been remodeling kitchens for 31 years.
Fullerton is not one kind of house. We work all over the city, and the range is wide: original single-story homes that have never been touched, houses that have been added onto twice, properties where the real work starts the moment you open up the floor. Knowing which you are walking into before you price it is most of the job.
A Fullerton Kitchen We Built
Coyote Hills — full home remodel, 3,100 sq ft
A single-story home, completely original, never updated. The owners wanted it brought fully current — not just the kitchen, the whole house.
We raised the ceilings throughout, kitchen included. That single decision changes everything about how an older single-story feels. What had been a closed-in, compartmentalized house opened up.
The kitchen:
- Flat-panel doors in two tones — sand-toned wall cabinets above, walnut base cabinets and island below
- Dark gray countertops with natural marbling
- A large island with waterfall edges at both ends, and an overhang deep enough to seat barstools underneath
- Under-cabinet lighting, plus puck lights in the ceiling over the island
What we found under the floor
This is the part of a remodel nobody photographs for a brochure.
Before a single cabinet goes in, the floor comes up and you find out what the house has actually been sitting on. Original plumbing. Failing subfloor. Whatever the last several decades did down there while nobody was looking.
A cabinet company does not open the floor. A general contractor does — because you cannot set a new kitchen on top of a problem and call it finished.

The access problem
The house sits behind a small creek. The only way to the front entry is a narrow wooden arched bridge.
Every cabinet, every slab of countertop, every sheet of drywall, and every piece of debris on the way out crossed that bridge. You do not solve that with a bigger crew. You solve it by sequencing deliveries properly and knowing what a footbridge will carry before you schedule a stone delivery.
What We Do in a Fullerton Kitchen
- Full kitchen remodels, down to the studs where needed
- Custom and semi-custom cabinetry
- Countertops, including waterfall islands and seated overhangs
- Ceiling work — raising, opening up, removing soffits
- Layout changes and wall removal
- Subfloor and structural repair
- Electrical and lighting, including under-cabinet and recessed
- Plumbing relocation and replacement of original supply lines
- Flooring, tile and backsplash
We are a general contractor, not a cabinet shop — the whole job runs under one contract, with one person accountable for it.

Working in Fullerton
Permits and inspections. The City of Fullerton is straightforward to work with. They can run behind when they are short-staffed, and we plan for that — but they are thorough and genuinely helpful, and a thorough building department is something you want on your side. An inspector who catches a problem at rough-in is doing you a favor. We would rather deal with that than the alternative.
There is no typical Fullerton kitchen. Fullerton is a genuinely diverse city, and that shows up in the work. We do not see one trend, one style everybody is asking for, or one budget bracket. Some homeowners want the whole house opened up and modernized. Some want a careful kitchen that respects the house they already love. Some are solving a problem that has been bothering them for ten years.
Anyone who tells you what Fullerton homeowners want is describing their own portfolio, not your city. We start by asking what you want.
