After a leak or flood, the hardest part isn’t the water you can see. It’s the moisture left inside walls, floors and cabinets. Dried halfway, it causes warped floors, swollen cabinets and mold weeks later.

Serhal Builders handles both halves of the job. We dry the structure properly, prove it’s dry with daily moisture readings, and then rebuild everything the water damaged. We’re a licensed California general contractor (CSLB #1074208) with more than 31 years in construction, and our crew is IICRC certified in Water Damage Restoration.

Structural Drying

We map exactly where the water went using moisture meters, remove only what can’t be saved, and run commercial air movers and dehumidifiers until readings show your home is back to normal. You get a written drying log for your records and your insurance adjuster.

Restoration and Rebuild

Most drying companies leave when the fans come out. We’re the contractor, so we stay and rebuild: drywall and paint, flooring, baseboards and trim, cabinets and countertops, framing and subfloors, and permits when the work requires them. If you’ve wanted to update a kitchen or bathroom anyway, we can build that into the rebuild.

What We Don’t Do

We start once standing water is out. If water is still standing, we can connect you with one of our partner plumbers to stop the leak and remove the water. If our inspection finds mold, we refer you to a mold specialist.

How It Works

Call or request your free inspection. We usually arrive the same day or the next day.
We measure and explain. You see the moisture readings and what needs to be dried, removed or replaced.
We dry the structure. Equipment runs around the clock, and we check readings every day.
We prove it’s dry. Rebuilding starts only when the readings say it’s safe.
We rebuild. The same company finishes the job, through the final walkthrough.

Insurance Claim or Paying Directly, We Work Either Way

Filing a claim? We work with your insurance company and adjuster, and provide the moisture readings, drying logs, photos and itemized estimates they ask for. You stay in charge of your claim; we make sure the documentation is complete.

Paying yourself? You get a clear written estimate before any work starts.
